Windows 7 : Faster-Reliable-Secured
Microsoft’s newer version of windows is Windows 7. This version contains advanced features including – multi touch technology, furnished graphics, improved performance and energy efficient computing.
According to Mircosoft – the new OS is faster, more reliable, and makes it easier to do what you want. Windows refined the Vista kernel – but not abandon.
Windows 7 installs easier, has simpler configuration of user settings, greater availability of software, support.
Easy Interface:
Improved taskbar – Microsoft improves the taskbar, so that users can open large number of windows and manage them easily. In windows vista and earlier versions, the windows of running programs placed on the taskbar took lots of space. But in 7, they are smaller icons. According to Microsoft’s website, “In Windows 7 you can set the order in which the icons appear and they’ll stay put. They’re easier to see, too. Click once on the new large icons or bigger preview thumbnails and you’re ready to go. You can even see a full screen preview before switching to the window.”
Jump List- Windows 7 added Jump List feature. To see the files you’ve used recently, just right click on the icon on your taskbar. So right-clicking on the Word icon will show your most recent Word documents. Plus, if there are other files you want to keep handy, you can just pin them to the Jump List.
Faster:
Windows 7 is faster than earlier versions of windows. Microsoft tried to speed up boot time as well as reduce number of startup services. 7 also shuts down, resumes from stand by faster. It loads documents faster too.
Applications:
Windows 7 doesn’t include the applications that were bundled with Vista. Instead, users can download them from website for free of cost. Windows Mail, Windows Calendar, Windows Photo Gallery, and Windows Movie Maker are some of these removed applications.
